The HitchHiker conencts to a vehicles standard 2" hitch receiver. There are adapters for smaller 1-1/4 and larger 2-1/2 receivers. The Hitchhiker also has an adjustable foot that secures to the ground. We are developing some different attachable feet/baseplates to improve strength and stability.

Yes, the HitchHiker can rotate 360 degrees and is equipped with industrial strength thrust style bearings for smooth and stable rotation.

Absolutley! The HitchHiker can be transported connected right on the hitch. There are locking mechanisms built in and the boom can be secured in several different ways.

Future models may have folding capabilities. We are currently testing many design options and improvements.

The HitchHiker was developed in mind to be used by a single individual. Different models have different weights. We are constantly working to make the HitchHiker lighter without losing strength. As you can imagine is a difficult task when lifting hundreds of pounds.

The height adjustments will vary on different vehicles and hitch heights. The vertical support can be raised and lowered and even removed depending on how high the load needs to go. 

The maximum weight you can lift and rotate will depend on how high and far out the load needs to go. The boom can be adjusted along with the pulleys for maximum capabilities. There are numbers on the HitchHiker's vertical and horizontal supports that corresponds to a chart. The chart (app being developed) will show maximum load to be lifted at the numbers on the HitchHiker.

The HitchHiker can be disassembled quickly for storage in a garage, shed or even a basement. Future models will have some folding capabilities or wall brackets to shrink the footprint while being stored.
